March 20, 2008 Special Committee Questions Subpoenaed Witnesses The 5-member Senate Hydrogen Fund Special Investigative Committee continues hearing from subpoenaed testifiers this week on the DBEDT's H2Energy LLC to Manage the Hydrogen Investment Capital Fund. The committee held several hearings in which we heard testimony from witnesses that included DBEDT Director Ted Liu and a number of people from his staff and the department, plus representatives of vendors doing business with DBEDT through this fund. Hearings have been many hours long per day, some lasting late into the night. So far no conclusive evidence of intentional wrongdoing has been found. Members of the committee include Chair Donna Mercado Kim, Vice-Chair Clarence Nishihara, Senators Les Ihara, Gary Hooser and myself.
