Special Session? Count on It Nearly 100 bills have become law since being placed on the Governor's desk at the end of session. Most were enacted into law by Governor Linda Lingle . Fifteen vetoed bills became law after they were overridden by the legislature. The Governor still has about 180 bills to consider. Popular notion circulating around the capitol is that the legislature will be back in mid July for a special session specifically to override more Governor's vetoes. Governor Lingle has until July 10 to take action on legislation passed during the 2007 session. More info on bills at www.capitol.hawaii.gov.
