Asaki and Beau from Tokai University were my student shadows on February 14, State Senate floor.
More on my student shadows below.
Student Shadows Visit State Senators
Friday, January 26 was student shadow day at the Hawaii State Legislature. Several students from various East European countries spent a day with us in the State Senate. My student shadow was Galym Kulov, an 18 year-old senior at Kaiser High School who wants to become a Petroleum Engineer after he goes to college. Galym is from the country of Kazakhstan and plays on the Kaiser High School basketball team.
On February 14, I was visited by 2 student shadows from Hawaii Tokai International College. They were Asaki Tanaka from Tokyo Japan and Beau Odagiri from Aiea, Hawaii. Asaki is an American Culture student and enjoys playing tennis and singing. Beau is in the school's liberal arts program and enjoys judo, singing and God. Their professor is Dr. AnnaMaria Preston Ph.D, who was a former staff member of mine last year. They're pictured at the top of this page.
