Campaign Season 2006 | Vote on September 23 Thank you for your vote and continued support!
Senator Sam Slom Delivers Change.
If the voters in East Honolulu's 8th District re-elect State Senator Sam Slom on Septembr 23, 2006, they are guaranteed his continued commitment and leadership for change to a more diversified, taxpayer beneficial, small business friendly economy ã and more take home pay for working families. Sam also advocates a reformed, decentralized, teacher-supported, parent-driven, adequately resourced, public education system and an end to government corruption and waste. He pledges to continue to return integrity and trust in government and more take home pay. While many candidates talk of "change" this year, Sam can point to a record of action and voting for change. Since first elected to the Senate in 1996, Sam has distinguished himself as experienced, knowledgeable and independent. He listens to his constituents, takes difficult positions, works hard at the Capitol and makes tough voting decisions on major issues, while remaining most accessible. You can continue to count on him. He accepts responsibility and accountability for all he does.

Radio Show on Hiatus My weekly Thursday morning broadcast on the Rick Hamada Show with Senator Colleen Hanabusa is on hiatus as the election season kicks into high gear. Federal communications regulations regarding a media outlet's obligation for providing "equal time" prompted the suspension of not only my appearances on KHVH radio but also those of Governor Linda Lingle and Councilman Charles Djou. Archived radio shows are available at the TownPodcast website. They are MP3 files. To listen to past broadcasts featuring Senator Hanabusa and I with Rick Hamada, download the Rick Hamada programs that ran on Thursdays.
